Michael Wayne Wilkerson, 69, of Madisonville, KY passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2022, at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville.

He was born on August 7, 1952, in Madisonville, KY, to the late Nancy Scott Wilkerson and Charles Wilkerson. He was a Superintendent at Colonial P&M Coal Mines. He enjoyed his firearms, working in his yard, and most of all spending time with his grandson. Michael attended Carters Chapel.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, David Wilkerson.

Survivors include his son, Michael David (Aimee) Wilkerson of Madisonville; daughter, Michelle Wilkerson of Madisonville; sisters, Barbara (Roger) Chandler of Greenville, KY, Debra Charpentier and Donna Pride, both of Madisonville; grandson, Charlie Wilkerson of Madisonville; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, February 10, 2022, in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. Ruby Rickard officiating. Burial to follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour Thursday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Tony Triplett, Bart Allen, Jesse McDowell, Jewell Stafford, Kyle Wade, and Charlie Wilkerson.

Honorary pallbearer is Roger Chandler.
