Michael Scott Mitchell, 60, of Madisonville, KY, passed away on Friday, June 21, 2024, at his home.

He was born on May 20, 1964, in Madisonville, KY, to Janet Harper Mitchell and William "Dickie" Mitchell of Hanson, KY. He was formerly employed as a floral designer for The Mark of Distinction. He graduated in 1982 from Madisonville North Hopkins High School. He loved interior decorating and jewelry design.

He was preceded in death by his beloved pets, Piper and Maggie May.

Survivors include his parents, William "Dickie" and Janet Mitchell of Hanson, KY; brother, Marc (Tandy) Mitchell of Madisonville; sister, Pam (Leslie Carloss) Mitchell of Hopkinsville, KY; niece, Abby (Caden) Prowse of Madisonville; nephew, Scott Mitchell of Hanson; and his beloved cat, Larry.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 29, 2024, in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home with his close friend, Lisa Stanley, giving his eulogy.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
