Maye Louise Parrish Butler, age 75, of Kodak, TN, formerly of Madisonville, KY, passed away Monday, February 17, 2025, at Jefferson City Health and Rehab Center.

She was born on June 15, 1949, in Madisonville, KY, to the late Margaret Miller and Eagon Parrish. She was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps. She gave years of service to the Salvation Army. She enjoyed traveling, shopping, and watching Westerns, especially Gunsmoke. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Hailey Wiseley; brothers, Marvin Parrish and Shelby Adair; and her sisters, Peggy Adair and Margie Parrish.

She is survived by her husband of thirty-five years, Sanford Butler of Kodak; her daughter, Diana Wiseley of Kodak; son, Ron Minter; brother, Edward "Eddie" Parrish; granddaughters, Charity Ellis and Tessa Minter; grandson, Isaac Minter; three great-grandchildren, Arlington Wiseley, Micah Ellis, and Dawson Ellis; and several nieces and nephews.

A eulogy by the family was held on Friday, February 21, 2025, at 4:00 P.M. in the chapel of Stetzer-Bales Funeral Home.

A private burial will be held at Oakwood Cemetery in Earlington, KY with military honors conducted by the Hopkins County Honor Guard. Harris Funeral Home was entrusted with care.
