Mary Elizabeth Wright, 83, of Madisonville, KY. passed away at 9:45 a.m. on Saturday, September 4, 2010 at Brighton Cornerstone Healthcare in Madisonville.

She was born June 20, 1927 in Madisonville, KY. to the late Francis Wayne Utley and Nellie Maude Bruce Utley. She formerly worked at Enro shirt factory for 18 years. She was a member of the AARP and a member of Pleasant View Missionary Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Wendell Finley Wright, Sr.; two daughters, Brenda Knight and Linda Sue Wright; two brothers, Maurice Wayne Utley and Richard E. Bruce; a sister, Bonnie Utley Killough and a great grandchild, Marcus Brown.

She is survived by three daughters, Mary W. Hinkle of Madisonville, Doris J. Wright of Madisonville, and Patricia A. Palmer of Madisonville; one son, Wendell F. Wright, Jr. of Madisonville; one brother, Redmon Utley of Madisonville; ten grandchildren; ten great- grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday September 9, 2010 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Rev. Laddie Pride officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Madisonville.

Pallbearers will be Dewayne Browning, Bruce Knight, Bill Palmer, Donovan Cullen, Matthew Allen and Mark Engelhardt. Honorary Pallbearer will be Rhyan Wright.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the funeral hour Thursday at Harris Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Pleasant View Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery Fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
