Mary Evelyn Gooch Williams, 82, of Madisonville, KY passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2024, at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville.

She was born on March 6, 1942, in Nebo, KY, to the late Dorothy Marie Cates Gooch and Bradley B. Gooch. She retired from Regional Medical Center. She loved word search puzzles, traveling, and watching westerns. She was an avid UK basketball fan. Mary was a member of the Nebo United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Billy Ray Gooch; sister, Joann Phillips; her life partner, James Rice; and her loving pet, Chloe Michelle.

Survivors include her daughters, Rebecca (Lawrence) Rhodes of Bremen, KY and Dawn (Jason) Hunt of Madisonville; son, Bradley (Amelia) Williams of Madisonville; sister, Carolyn (John) Adkins of Madisonville; grandchildren, Erik Rhodes, Lauren Stewart, Steven Wiggins, and Bradley H. Williams; six great-grandsons; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at Rose Creek Cemetery in Nebo, KY, with Pastor Eddie Fleming officiating. Harris Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Pallbearers are Bradley Williams, Jeremy Ladd, Steven Wiggins, Jason Hunt, Lawrence Rhodes, Erik Rhodes, and Jamie Rhodes.
