Mary "momma" Sue Thomas, 79, of Madisonville, KY passed away at 8:20 a.m. on Friday, October 12, 2012 at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville.

She was born on April 7, 1933 in Madisonville, KY to the late Gracie and Adam Red Johnson. She was a devoted homemaker and mother to her children. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Madisonville.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William G. Thomas and her brother, Elmer Johnson.

She is survived by two sons, Mike Thomas of Madisonville and Mark (Kirstin) Thomas of Orlando, FL; her daughter, Jenny (Chris) McCrady of Sebree, KY; three brothers, Gene Johnson , Bill Johnson both of Madisonville and Jimmy Johnson of Florida; her sister, Sandi Sansbury of Louisville, KY; seven grandchildren, Brad Thomas, Rebecca Thomas, Amanda McCrady, Matthew McCrady, Avery Thomas, Mallory Thomas and Emily Thomas; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m on Thursday, October 18, 2012 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Dr. Joe Leonard officiating. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery.

Visitation will be 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m until the service hour Thursday at Harris Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Mahr Cancer Center. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
