Mary Stapleton, 83, of Madisonville, KY passed away at 2:55 a.m. on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at NHC Healthcare of Madisonville.

She was born on December 12, 1928 in Greenville, KY to the late Claude Rose Jones and Rhonda House Jones. She was a devoted housewife and was of the Pentecostal faith.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Lennial Stapleton; five brothers and four sisters.

She is survived by her brother, Jerry (Kathy) Perry of Evansville, IN; two sisters, Betty Carter of Earlington, KY and Margie (Billy) Stevenson of Mortons Gap, KY; two nieces, Debra Howell of Mortons Gap and Barbara Shiemate of Nortonville; and several other nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, September 24, 2012 in Slaughters Cemetery in Slaughters, KY with Bro. Billy Jones officiating. Burial will follow.

There will be no visitation. Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville is in charge of arrangements.
