Mary Ann Spinks- Evansville, IN. Mary Ann (Hollis) Spinks, 79, of Evansville IN. passed away on Thursday, January 15, 2009 st home with family by her side. She was born on March 12, 1929 to the late Clara Eva (Long, Hollis) Bowley and Samuel Lawrence Hollis.

Mary Ann was a homemaker and through out her life she was a live-in care giver for several former Hopkins County residents. However, her greatest love was taking care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her step-father, Charles Bowley; a son, Lawrence Spinks; a brother Samuel Hollis; two great-granddaughter's; Asia Spinks and Angel Spinks; and a great-grandson; Jeffery Spinks Jr.

She is survived by three daughters, Patricia Miller and her husband, Carl, of White Plains KY.; Donna Spinks and Barbara Emerson, both of Evansville IN.: a son, Ricky Spinks of Madisonville, KY.; thirteen grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and two nephews.

The family would like to thank Deaconess Hospice and their staff for their care. Mary Ann's family would also like to extend a special thanks to her daughter, Donna, for giving extraordinary care to her mother during this difficult time.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. at Harris Funeral Home Chapel in Madisonville, KY., on Sunday, January 18 with the Rev. Joel Riley officiating. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville, KY.

Pallbearers will be her grandson's; Dedric Spinks, Rocky Spinks, Dallas Spinks, Ricky Spinks Jr., Jeff Spinks, Clifford Emerson Jr. and Michael Buttrum.
