Mary Humphrey, 89, of Madisonville, KY passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at Shemwell Healthcare in Providence, KY.

She was born on December 29, 1928 in Madisonville to the late Hattie Mae Hughes Ford and Gene Ford. Mary was a member of First United Methodist Church in Madisonville and she had taught Sunday school at Parkview United Methodist Church. She enjoyed quilting and crocheting and loved to play Bingo.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Humphrey; maternal grandparents, Laura Ellen Hughes and Bill Hughes; brother, Junior Burns; and her sisters, Barbara Ann Hopper and Betty Jean Earl.

Survivors include her daughters, Laura Lee Boyd and Claudette (Bob) Grant both of Madisonville; sister, Laura Mae Adams; brothers, Mackie Burns, Danny (Kathy) Ford, Steve Ford and Billy Ray (Janie) Ford; grandchildren, Darren Grant, Donovan (Eydie) Grant, Michelle (Ned) Harrison, Stephanie Eden and Christopher Johnston; eleven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 14, 2018 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. Danny Fireline officiating. Burial to follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville.

The visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour Saturday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Darren Grant, Donovan Grant, Jarrod Grant, Dustin Grant, Ethan Harrison and Christopher Johnston. Honorary pallbearers are Jon Grant, Mitchell Johnston and Cole Eden.
