Martha Lou Mayes Pryor, 88, of Madisonville, KY passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2024, at Brighton Cornerstone Healthcare in Madisonville.

She was born on February 24, 1936, in Earlington, KY, to the late Belvia Clayton Baker and Raymond Mayes. She was formerly employed by the Western Kentucky Veterans Center and also as a supervisor at Western Kentucky Hospital Services. She loved watching soap operas, cooking, and reading. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren. Martha was of the Christian faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Edison Turner Woods; second husband, Donald Pryor; son, Tommy "Moose" Woods; several brothers; one sister; and two granddaughters, Natalie Woods and Melissa Lee.

Survivors include her sons, John (Teresa) Woods, Harvey Woods, David Woods, all of Madisonville; sister, Gertie Almon of Madisonville; ten grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; fourteen great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home with Pastor Len Young officiating. Burial to follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville.

Visitation will be held at 11 a.m. until the funeral hour on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are John Woods II, Brandon Lee, Brock Louden, Trent Gilbert, and Donavan Woods.
