Martha Sue Holmes, 78, of White Plains, KY passed away on Monday, May 20, 2019 at Baptist Health Madisonville.

She was born on June 2, 1940 in Canisteo, NY to the late Martha and Raymond McChesney. Martha enjoyed china painting, gardening and bird watching. She was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Babette Holmes Stauffer; and two brothers.

Survivors include her husband of sixty-one years, William Holmes; daughter, Christine (Michael) Holmes Haefner of Southlake, TX; son-in-law, John (Lori) Stauffer of Asheboro, NC; sisters, Gloria Robinson of Dansville, NY and Carol Walrath of Corning, NY; grandchildren, Matt Haefner, Joan Haefner, Josh Stauffer and Travis Stauffer; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville was entrusted with care.
