Mark Christopher "Shakey" Pharris, 55, of Madisonville, Ky passed away on December 10, 2015 at Baptist Health Madisonville.

He was born on January 2, 1960 in Madisonville, KY to the late Major and Helen Pharris. Mark was dedicated to the oil and gas industry for thirty-five years and has been a superintendent for Ohmstede Industrial for the last five years. He frequently traveled to several states coast to coast but made Texas his second residence to Kentucky. He was a sports fan and loved UK basketball. Mark was loved and will be missed by many.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, David and Tommy Pharris; and a sister, Hilda Jean Toon.

Survivors include his wife of fifteen years, Connie René Pharris of Madisonville; daughter, Kaitlyn Rian Pharris of Madisonville; Sons, Brandon Chance Pharris of Madisonville, and Mark C. Pharris II and wife Jessica of Providence, KY; daughter, Megan Nicole Pharris of Elkton, KY; step-daughters, Natasha (Gary) Ashley of Dodson, LA, Brittany Plunkett of Montgomery, LA, and Jamie Plunkett of Montgomery, LA; step-son, James Plunkett of Montgomery, LA; sisters, Katherine Versnick, Linda Fuqua and husband Alan, and Lista Pharris (Gary Wayne Peyton) all of Madisonville, KY; granddaughter, Claire Pharris; grandson, Logan Pharris; Nine step grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, December 13, 2015 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. Kellan Lamb officiating. Burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Madisonville.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Saturday and from noon until the funeral hour Sunday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be his coworkers from Texas, David Clayton, Wayne Davis Jr., Ricky Allison, T-Ray Ellis, Patrick "Skillet" Barker, and Oscar "Coonie" Huerta. Honorary Pallbearers will be Mark Pharris II, Brandon Pharris, and Gary Wayne Peyton.
