Manuel DeSimas, 75, of Madisonville, Ky passed away on Friday, November 6, 2015 at his home.

He was born on May 2, 1940 in New Bedford, MA to the late Louise and Joseph DeSimas. Manuel was a United States Army Veteran and retired as a firefighter after twenty-eight years with the Madisonville Fire Department and was formerly employed with Walmart in Madisonville.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia DeSimas on January 29, 2014; son, Brian Scott DeSimas; brothers, Walter, Joseph and Fred DeSimas; and sister, Dorothy Meister.

Survivors include sons, Tony DeSimas, Michael DeSimas both of Madisonville and Danny DeSimas and wife, Erika of Virginia Beach, VA; brother, Raymond DeSimas of Acushnet, MA; sister, Louise Russell of Santa Barbara, CA; seven grandchildren; sister-in-law, Barbara DeSimas of Madisonville; and several nieces and nephews.

Burial will be held at 4 p.m. on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Madisonville. Military honors will be conducted graveside by the Hopkins County Honor Guard. Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville is in charge of the arrangements.
