Lucille Thomas, 76, of Anton, KY passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at Baptist Health Madisonville.

She was born on July 10, 1938 in Ennis, KY to the late Laura and Ed Buchanan. Lucille enjoyed gardening, planting flowers, watching hummingbirds and loved playing with her grandchildren. She was formerly employed at Walmart as a greeter and was a member of Pond River Missionary Baptist Church in Anton.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Edgar, Raymond, George, Harlan, James and Bobbie Buchanan; and sisters, Bessie Mae Parker and Waneta Bowers.

She is survived by her husband, Raymond Thomas; son, Daniel and his wife Heather Thomas of Hendersonville, TN; sister, Joyce Prow of Dawson Springs, KY; brother, Eugene Buchanan; granddaughters, Hannah Thomas and Mallory Thomas; grandson, Noah Thomas; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 15, 2015 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Pastor Ron Doss officiating. Burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Madisonville.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Thursday and from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour Friday at Harris Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Charlie Norvell, Richard Nichols, Terry Roberts, Junior Stogner, Anthony Nichols and Larry Norvell. Honorary pallbearer will be Bill Prow.
