Lorie Burkeen, 53, of Madisonville, KY passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at the Lucy Smith King Care Center in Henderson, KY.

She was born on May 12, 1970, in Murray, KY, to the late Rosetta Wilson Burkeen and Lynn Dale Burkeen. She was formerly employed as a secretary for Madisonville Paving. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and riding Harleys. She was a member of Temple Hill Methodist Church in Murray.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her niece, Briley Rose Kendrick; and mother-in-law, Barbara Nell Gorz.

Survivors include her sisters, Lynnette (Alvin) Coats of Higdon, AL and Naomi (Jimmie) Baize of Central City, KY; fiancé, Mark Dugger of Madisonville; nieces, Amber (Mike Nofsinger) Hamilton, Jessica (Adam) Cheatham, and Abby (Drake Bunch) Smith; nephew, William (Lindsey) Coats; two great nieces; and nine great nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2:30pm on Saturday, June 24, 2023, in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home with Pastor Danny Leslie officiating.

Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until the service hour on Saturday at the funeral home.
