Linda Moore Jones, 75, of Mortons Gap. KY passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, IN.

She was born on July 10, 1944 in Madisonville, KY to the late Imogene Moore and O.B. Moore. Linda loved her grandchildren and her dogs. She was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Jones, Sr.; her daughter, Joy L. Moore; and her brother, Terry Moore.

Survivors include her daughters, Patricia Ellison of Madisonville and Donna Smith of Louisville, KY; sons, James Jones, Jr. of Peoria, IL, Charles Jones, Jimmy L. Jones both of Madisonville and Roland (Mendy) Jones of Mortons Gap, KY; sisters, Laila Coleman of Madisonville and Elizabeth McKinney of Anton; brothers, Charlie Moore of Madisonville, Roland Moore of Kuttawa, KY and O.B. Moore, Jr. of Madisonville; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. Jerry Brewer officiating. Burial to follow at Bethlehem Cemetery in Madisonville.

The visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour Wednesday at the funeral home.

The pallbearers are Parker Jones, Cody Burbage, Justin Lee, Christian Osborn, Chris Bolin and Tyler Blanton.
