Linda Lou Haskins Hargis, 83, of Madisonville, Ky passed away on Monday, June 29, 2015 at Ridgewood Terrace Health and Rehabilitation Center in Madisonville.

She was born on March 3, 1932 in Crofton, KY to the late Jewell Davis Haskins and Lillian Henderson Haskins. Linda worked for thirty-seven years for the Hopkins County and Christian County Board of Education as a teacher and was a member of First Baptist Church in Madisonville.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Desmond Hargis, who passed away on January 14, 2014; and her son, Steven Desmond Hargis, who passed away on January 5, 2015.

Survivors include daughter-in-law, Lisa Stewart Hargis of Madisonville; brother, Ned Haskins of Crofton, KY; grandson, Harrison Desmond Hargis; granddaughter, Ryan Elizabeth Hargis; and two nieces.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 2, 2015 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. Hughlan Richey officiating. Burial to follow at Riverside Cemetery in Hopkinsville, KY.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour Thursday at Harris Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Caleb Crabtree, Thomas Geary, Houston Holloman, Jarrett Noffsinger, Blake Terry, and Brock Terry.
