Linda F. Bates, 54, of Dawson Springs, KY passed away on Friday, January 20, 2017 at her home.

She was born on March 6, 1962 in Madisonville to the late Alice and Ramus Rhye. Linda was manager at Kelly's South Main in Madisonville. She enjoyed flowers and collecting peacocks.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Jimmy Rhye and her step-daughter, Allison Patterson.

Survivors include her husband of thirty-five years, William Bates, Sr.; son, Christopher Bates of Dawson Springs; daughter, Sandra Brown and husband, Kevin of Madisonville; step-son, William Bates, Jr. of Dawson Springs; brothers, Roger Rhye and Kenny Rhye both of Madisonville; sisters, Regina Boris of Dawson Springs and Vannessa Rhye of Madisonville; nine grandchildren; five great-grandsons; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Pastor Phillip Cook officiating. Burial to follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. until the funeral hour Wednesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Matthew Haynes, Hunter Brown, Christopher Bates, Kevin Brown, John Rhye and Derrick Fugate.
