Larry Allen Smith, 82, of Madisonville, KY, passed away on Friday, October 27, 2023, at Heart-to-Heart Hospice in Evansville, IN.

He was born on May 2, 1941, in Mortons Gap, KY, to the late Edna Alice Sisk Smith and Clarence Smith. He was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He was formerly employed as a truck driver for Transfreight and retired from Southern Weighing and Insurance Bureau. He loved woodworking, yard work, sudoku puzzles, and watching westerns. Larry was a Fifty year member and past master of the Lessing Masonic Lodge #464 in Evansville, IN and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Eddie Smith and Bobby Smith; and grandson, Charlie Huck.

Survivors include his wife of sixty-two years, Judy Wiles Smith; daughter, Beverly (Walt) Creamer of Evansville, IN; sons, Gregory (fiancée Diana) Smith of Evansville, IN, Chris (Windy) Smith of Selah WA, and Derrick (April) Smith of Newburgh, IN; brothers, Billy (Ann Kay) Smith, Danny (Debbie) Smith both of Madisonville, and Dale (Paulene) Smith of Sebree, KY; sisters, Barbara (Jeff) Ramsey of Manitou, KY and Debbie (Ronnie) Simms of Madisonville; grandchildren, Wesley, Valerie, Taylor, Veldon, Drew, Tyler, Adrian, Jaidyn, Lyrehc, Ashley, Brandon, Caleb, Dallin and Marissa; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bishop William Tagg officiating and Tim Wiles assisting. Burial to follow at Grapevine Cemetery in Madisonville with military honors conducted by the Hopkins County Honor Guard.

Visitation will be held at 11 a.m. until the funeral hour on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Greg Smith, Chris Smith, Derrick Smith, Walt Creamer, Bill Smith, and Lyrehc Smith. Honorary pallbearers are Wesley DeTalente, Veldon Huck, Drew Smith, Tyler Smith, Adrian Smith, Brandon Smith, Caleb Smith and Dallin Smith.
