Larry Wayne Nance, 76, of Nortonville, KY passed away on Monday, December 5, 2016 at Baptist Health Madisonville.

He was born on April 24, 1940 in Nortonville to the late Geneva and John Nance. He was formerly a coal miner with Peabody Coal Company and attended Celebration House of Worship in Madisonville. Larry enjoyed camping, working on old cars and trucks and loved his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Johnny Ray Nance and Donald Nance.

Survivors include his wife of fifty-nine years, Bernice Nance; son, Darren Nance and wife, Valerie of Nortonville, daughter, Pamela Cavanaugh and husband, Gary of Nortonville; brother, Billy Joe Nance of Nortonville; grandsons, Tait Cavanaugh and wife, Elizabeth and Josiah Nance; granddaughters, Nina James and husband, Mark, Kayla Fox and husband, William and Bethany Nance; great-grandson, Addison Lander and Liam Fox; great-granddaughters, Rachel James, Rebekah James and Abigail Cavanaugh; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. Bobby Renshaw officiating. Burial to follow in New Salem Cemetery in Nortonville.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour Wednesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Mark James, Gary Cavanaugh, Addison Lander, Josiah Nance, William Fox and Tait Cavanaugh.
