Kimberly Dean Thomas Buchanan, 67, of Madisonville, KY, passed away on Monday, February 19, 2024, at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville.

She was born on November 10, 1956, in Evansville, IN, to the late Dora Dockery Thomas and Larry Thomas. She was formerly employed as an LPN at the Senior Citizens Nursing Home. She enjoyed cooking, reading, and traveling. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren. Kimberly was of the Christian faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Grady Thomas; and sister, Perry Clark.

Survivors include her husband of forty-two years, Steve Buchanan of Madisonville; daughter, Cassie Buchanan of Madisonville; son, Luke (Patricia) Buchanan of Madisonville; sisters, Lea (Dewayne) Wilson of Slaughters, KY and Jane (Eugene) Shanks of Greenville, KY; brother, Mark Thomas of Slaughters; grandsons, Dean Buchanan, Sean Buckalew-Buchanan, and Adam Buchanan; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Harris Funeral Home was entrusted with care.
