Kathleen Cunningham Parkest, 89, of Madisonville, KY passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Baptist Health Madisonville.

She was born on February 26, 1927 in Madisonville, KY to the late Goldie Taylor Cunningham and Elby Cunningham. Kathleen enjoyed crocheting and reading in her spare time. She was a member of Salem Primitive Baptist Church in Madisonville.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William B. Parkest, Jr.; and her brothers, Marvin "Jack" Cunningham, R.D. "Bob" Cunningham and Harold "Good O" Cunningham.

Survivors include her daughters, Wanda Camplin and husband, Archie of St. Charles, KY, Linda Allen and Tansley Hamp both of Madisonville; sister, Sue Knight and husband, John of Madisonville; brothers, James Cunningham and wife, Bea of Madisonville and Ronnie Cunningham and wife, Quinna of Manitou, KY; eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 4, 2016 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. Kenneth Blevins officiating. Burial to follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour Friday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Gerald Dillingham, Jeff Camplin, Daniel Camplin, Aaron Camplin, Jonathan Egbert and Travis Camplin.
