Kathleen Oakley, 88, of Madisonville, KY passed away at 7:15 a.m. on Friday, July 27, 2012 at Brighton Cornerstone Healthcare in Madisonville.

She was born on July 15, 1924 in Dixon, KY to the late Lellar Denton Loughary and Gilbert Loughary. In addition to being a homemaker, she was a member of the Women's Missionary Society and Oakley Home General Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Arvell Oakley; one sister and one brother.

She is survived by her two sons, Alan (Judy) Oakley of Manitou, KY and Bernice Oakley of Princeton, KY; her daughter, Kathy (Byron) Beck of Popular Bluff, MO; her grandson, Troy Oakley of Nortonville, KY; two granddaughters, Alanda Wagner of Madisonville and Katie Beck of Arlington, VA; three great-grandsons, Joshua Oakley, Hagan Oakley both of Nortonville and Dylan Wagner of Madisonville; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 30, 2012 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Rev. Byron Beck and Rev. Troy Oakley officiating. Burial will be in Oakley Home Church Cemetery near Manitou.

Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Sunday and from 8 a.m. until the funeral hour Monday at Harris Funeral Home.
