Juanita Martin, 81, of Madisonville, KY. passed away at 4:40 p.m. on Friday October 22, 2010 at her home.

She was born on January 29, 1929 in Hopkins County, KY. to the late Eva Stewart Miller and Francis Ellis Miller. She worked with the Madisonville Police Department as a school crossing guard for 43 years. She also worked with her husband John for over 35 years sharing in their love of wedding photography. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Madisonville.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Jeanne Dawn Martin; two brothers, Horace Miller and Roscoe Miller; three sisters, Mary Utterback, Betty Boling and Patricia Hook.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years,John Martin Sr.; a son, John (Danyel) Martin of Madisonville; two granddaughters, Madyson Martin of Madisonville and Melissa (Zach) Latham of Evansville, IN.; a step-grandson, Eddie Burke of Madisonville and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday October 25, 2010 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Dr. Joe Leonard officiating. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville.

Pallbearers will be Zach Latham, Tony Ward and Eddie Burke.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour Monday at Harris Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Green River Hospice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
