Juanita Williams Cates, 92, of Madisonville, KY passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Madisonville Health and Rehab.

She was born on December 4, 1926 in Madisonville to the late Alice Mildred Williams and Clifford Williams, Sr., Juanita was formerly a nurse aide at NHC and was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed quilting and was a member of TOPS.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, James Martin Williams, Roy Douglas Williams, Clifford "Sonny" Williams, Jr.; and her sisters,  Anna "Tootsie" Kwiatkowski, Clara Williams Lindstrom and Elizabeth W. Nevitt.

Survivors include her son, David Deaton of Madisonville; daughters, Sandra Kay Morrow of Madisonville and Brenda Joyce Johns of Pawleys Island, SC; her sister, Hilda Rae Williams Gammon, brothers, Strother Wayne Williams and William "Bill" Edward Williams of Madisonville, and Thurman Lee Williams of Colorado; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; numerous great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 19, 2019 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. Eddie Fleming officiating. A private burial will be held at odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville at a later date.

The visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the service hour Saturday at the funeral home.
