Anita Joyce Ray, 81, of Madisonville, KY passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2022 at Madisonville Health and Rehab.

She was born on April 30, 1941, in Madisonville to the late Lucy Irene Duncan Bruce and Jimmy Bruce. Joyce was retired after fifty years as a self employed housekeeper and was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed doing embroidery.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Joe Bruce, James Andrew Bruce, Richard Donald Bruce and Ralph Dennis Bruce.

Survivors include her son, John Nicely of Madisonville; sister, Betty Jones of Madisonville; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, September 9, 2022, at Grapevine Cemetery in Madisonville with Pastor Tommy Hayes officiating. Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville is in charge of the arrangements.
