Joyce Adeline Crockett Moore, 86, of Madisonville, KY, passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville.

She was born on January 23, 1938, in Madisonville, KY, to the late Gladys Brown Crockett and Lawrence Crockett. She was formerly employed as an H.R. manager for Enro Shirt factory and also with the Hopkins County Courthouse as a probate officer. She loved sewing, hiking, gardening, and reading. She was involved in the Show N Go Car Club. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Joyce was a member of Richland Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Crockett Martin; and her brothers, Clifton "Buddy" Crockett and Laymon Crockett.

Survivors include her husband of sixty-four years, Lawrence L. Moore, Sr. of Madisonville; daughter, Angelia (Miles Howe) Marie Moore of Mt. Vernon, KY; son, Lawrence (Angela) Moore II of Madisonville; sister, Ruth (Michael) Mabrey of Battle Grounds, WA; granddaughter, Christy (Brad) Howard of Madisonville, grandsons, Chadwick (Rebecca) Pentecost of Wellington, OH, Matthew Pentecost of Chattanooga, TN, and Larry Dylan Moore of Owensboro, KY, and granddaughter, Angelica (Jamey) Morse of Ilsley, KY; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Lantrip officiating. A private family burial to follow at Rosedale Cemetery in Dawson Springs, KY.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the service hour on Tuesday at the funeral home.
