Joyce "Joy" Knox, 67, of Madisonville, KY passed away on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at Madisonville Health and Rehab.

She was born on February 26, 1954, in Madisonville, KY to the late Mildred M. Knox and William "Bill" Knox. Joy was an office assistant at Kentucky Lottery Corporation for many years. She enjoyed her work and making friends along the way. She enjoyed crafting, music, and spending time with her family and friends. Joy was a member of Suthard's Christian Church.

Survivors include her sister, Jane Ellen (Wendell) Gatlin, her brother, Jimmy (Linda) Knox; niece, Ashley (Ricky) Hook: nephews, Eric Gatlin and Ethan Knox; great-nephews, Colby (Bailey) Patterson and Will Hook; great-great-nephew, Legend Hook; great-great-niece, Nayvie Patterson; her close friends, Debbie and Danny Smith; and her beloved dog, Phoebe.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 10, 2021, at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville with Bro. George Brooks officiating. Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville is in charge of the arrangements.

Per Joy's wishes, there will be no visitation.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Hopkins County Humane Society, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or Wounded Warriors.
