Joseph Douglas Hook's Obituary
Joseph Douglas Hook, 72, of Madisonville, KY passed away at 6:42 p.m. on Sunday, August 24, 2014 at Baptist Health Madisonville.
He was born on April 9, 1942 in Earlington, KY to the late Fanny Hook and George Wallace Hook. He was formerly a carpenter and construction worker for Star Construction in Madisonville. He was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Elson Lee Hook, Elmber Hook; his sister, Betty Tribble; and his grandson.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-four years, Katherine Hook; his daughters, Julie Kay (Tommy) Fergerson of Madisonville, Janet Marlene (Douglas) Mann of Benton, KY and Lora Renea Weaver of Madisonville; his brother, George Raymond Hook of Michigan; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Pastor William Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Hanson Cemetery in Hanson, Ky.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour Wednesday at Harris Funeral Home.
