John Morgan, Sr., 86, of Madisonville, KY, passed away on Friday, May 16, 2025, at his home.

He was born on August 14, 1938, in Dermott, AR, to the late Iva Willis Morgan and Marvin Morgan. He was a self-employed mechanic. He enjoyed playing the guitar and singing, and restoring cars. His greatest joy was spending time with his family. John attended Greater Lighthouse Church in Madisonville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Homer Lee Morgan; and his sisters, Rachel Nicholson and Barbara Williams.

His survivors include his daughters, Betty Cone, Diane Lowery of Oregon, and Debbie Gorley; son, John Morgan, Jr. of Sylmar, CA; sister, Gloria Crenshaw of Madisonville; several grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Harris Funeral Home was entrusted with care.
