John Michael Hatcher, 72, of Madisonville, KY, passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at Baptist Health Deaconess.

He was born March 5, 1951, in Madisonville, KY, to the late Ada Smith Hatcher and John Hatcher. He retired after twenty-three years from the Metro Nashville Drug Court as a counselor. He also worked at the Samaritan Center in Nashville. He loved playing guitar and listening to music. John was a history buff and enjoyed classic cars.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Joshua William Hatcher; sister, Joann Ashby; and brother, Drayton Hatcher.

Survivors include his daughter, Sundie Hatcher of Douglasville, GA; sisters, Doris Knight and Patricia (William) Dougherty, both of Madisonville; and several nieces and nephews.

A private graveside service at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville will be held at a later date. Harris Funeral Home was entrusted with care.
