John F. Hall, 74, of Madisonville, KY passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at his home.

He was born on November 1, 1941 in Madisonville to the late Grace and John X. Hall. John worked as a police officer with the Madisonville Police Department and was self employed doing heating and air maintenance. He enjoyed watching UK Basketball and the St. Louis Cardinals in his spare time.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Nancy Hall; his second wife, Loretta Hall; several brothers; several sisters; and step-son, Jon Charpentier.

Survivors include his daughter, Kim Phillips and husband, Scott of Madisonville; son, Matt Hall of Dawson Springs, KY; step-sons, David Charpentier and wife, Kelli of Norfolk, VA and Jerry Cox of Madisonville; step-daughter, Christine Cox of Madisonville; thirteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces; and several nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, April 11, 2016 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. Kenny Oates officiating. Burial to follow at Old Salem Cemetery in Mortons Gap, KY.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the service hour Monday at the funeral home.
