John Allen "Abe" Conrad, 69, of Madisonville, KY passed away on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at Baptist Health Madisonville.

He was born on August 31, 1949 in Coiltown, KY to the late Erma Nell Conrad and Dewey Douglas Conrad. He was employed with Fies 9 Coal Mines and was a member of Love United Baptist Church. Abe enjoyed car restoration and carpentry.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death his brothers, J.T. Conrad and Dewey Conrad.

Survivors include his wife of fifty years, Vicki Conrad; sons, Chuck Conrad and Steven Conrad both of Madisonville; daughter, Melanie Barnett of Madisonville; sister, Sheila Reynolds of Texas; brother, Larry Conrad of Madisonville; granddaughters, Whitney Greenwell of Newburgh, IN; and Zoe Conrad of Madisonville; grandson, Jon Michael Barnett of Madisonville; great-grandchildren, Hunter and Audrey; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 8, 2018 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. Mike Shocklee officiating. Burial to follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Madisonville.

The visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. until the funeral hour Saturday at the funeral home.
