Joey Lee Pleasant, 42, of Central City, KY passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2015 at Baptist Health Madisonville.

He was born on September 25, 1972 in Tuscaloosa, AL to Jane Pleasant and the late James Hank Pleasant. Joey was a medical assistant instructor with Job Corps in Central City.

Survivors include mother, Jane Pleasant of Earlington, KY; daughter, Alexandra Pleasant of Madisonville; brother, James Pleasant of Earlington, KY; sister, Joan Pleasant of Earlington; fiancee, Dawanna Conover of Central City; step-daughter, Olivia Daniel of Central City; step-sons, Tyler Conover and Casey Cobb both of Owensboro, KY; grandson, Kaiden Conover; granddaughter, Raya Conover; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 31, 2015 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Troy Dock officiating. Burial to follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. until the funeral hour Friday at Harris Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Preston Chambers, Mark Smith, Billy Poe, James Pleasant, Tyler Conover, Casey Cobb, Brandon Hall and Whit Foster.
