Simon Joseph "Joe" Gordon, 54, of Madisonville, KY, passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2023, at Deaconess Midtown in Evansville, IN.

He was born on June 5, 1968, to the late Virginia Morse Petitt and Ervin H. Gordon. He was a carpenter for All in One Services. He loved fishing, music, watching movies, and growing vegetables and flowers. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and especially being a new grandfather. Joe was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Basil Petitt; son, William Dwayne Gordon; and brothers, Greg Gordon, Russell Gordon, Floyd Gordon, and J.C. Gordon.

Survivors include his daughter, Samantha (Lloyd) Stotts of Nortonville; fiancé, Christal Cotton of Madisonville; sisters, Vicki (Tony) Duncan of Manitou, KY, Linda Bruce and Missy (Keith) Jarvis, both of Madisonville; brothers, Gary (Tina) Gordon and Darrell (Peggy) Gordon, both of Madisonville, George (Bev) Petitt of Hanson, KY, and Ervin "Peewee" (Linda) Gordon, of Madisonville; grandson, Ashton Reed Stotts of Nortonville; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 23, 2023, in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home with Bro. Mitch Cotton officiating and assisted by Steff Burton. A private burial will be held at Concord Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until the funeral hour on Thursday at the funeral home.
