Jody Lee Ruby Sr., 78, of Madisonville, Ky. passed away at 6:30 p.m. on July 15, 2011 at his home.

He was born on May 4, 1933 in Madisonville to the late James Edward Ruby and Liva Burton Ruby. He was a United States Air Force veteran serving during the Korean era. He was formerly self employed in construction. He was of the Pentecostal faith.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters.

He is survived by his wife, Alice Isenberg-Ruby; two sons, Jody Lee (Lavina) Ruby Jr. of Hawesville, Ky. and Steven Thomas (Sherry) Ruby of Sacramento, Ky.; a brother, Charles Ruby of Evansville, IN.; a sister, Nola Wright of Lamar, IN.; six grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and several cousins.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Sunday July 17, 2011 at Bethlehem Cemetery in Madisonville.The Hopkins County Honor Guard will be conducting the service with burial to follow.

There will be no visitation. Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville is in charge of arrangements.
