Joan Hypes, 77, of Madisonville, Ky passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2020 at Ridgewood Health and Rehab in Madisonville.

She was born on October 28, 1942. Joan loved animals, especially dogs. She enjoyed the outdoors and sitting on her porch.

She was preceded in death by her husband, R.B. Hypes; her son, Michael hypes; her granddaughter, Amanda "Brookie" Hypes; and her loving dog and loyal companion, Yo Yo.

Survivors include her grandchildren, Melissa (Tyrone) Walker of Allen Park, MI, Heaven Hypes of Detroit, MI, Raymond Walker of Port Huron, MI, Crystal Danielek of Auburn Hills, MI, Kerry Danielek of Detroit, Allison, Samuel and Michael; and several great-grandchildren.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville was entrusted with care.
