Jo Nell Davis- MADISONVILLE, KY

Jo Nell Davis, 88, of Madisonville, died at 8:42 p.m., Wednesday August 26, 2009, at Ridgewood Terrace Nursing Home in Madisonville, Ky.

She was born February 1, 1921, in Hopkins County, Ky., to the late Eugene Moore and Eliza Moore. She was a retired nurse aide for Hopkins County Hospital and retired as a private sitter for Regional Medical Center. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Madisonville.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Bill Watson who passed away in 1940; her second husband, Edward L. "E.L." Davis Sr.who passed away in 1984; two sons, Kenneth Watson and Eddie Davis Jr.; two sisters and five brothers.

She is survived by two sons, Billy Joe Watson and Roger Dale Davis both of Madisonville.; one daughter, Elizabeth Anne Adams of Madisonville; one sister, Mae Blair of Madisonville; fifteen grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; two step-great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; several nieces and nephews; several great nieces and great nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday August 29, 2009, in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Rev. Roy Conley officiating. Burial will be in Old Salem Cemetery in Mortons Gap, Ky. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at Harris Funeral Home.
