Jerry Thomas Yarbrough, 64, of Madisonville, Ky. passed away at 11:45 p.m. on Thursday, October 27, 2011 at his home.

He was born on October 23, 1947 in Madisonville, Ky. to the late Walter Thomas Yarbrough and Myrtle Arine Parkest Forker. He was formerly employed with Peabody Coal Company. He was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church in Madisonville.

He is survived by his wife, Joan Elaine Villines Yarbrough; a daughter, Susan Renee (Richard) Lamastus of Madisonville; two sons, Sonny (Tammy) Stewart of Manitou, Ky. and Eric Stewart of Louisville, Ky.; a sister, Patricia (George) Furgerson of Madisonville; five brothers, Michael (Linda) Yarbrough of Jacksonville, Fl., Terry (Jenny) Furgerson of Jacksboro, Tn., Tom Yarbrough of Dawson Springs, Ky., Darren (Rhonda) Yarbrough of Willard, Mo. and Troy Yarbrough of Springfield, Mo.; two grandchildren; three step-grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, October 31, 2011 in the chapel of Harris Funeral
Home in Madisonville with Pastor Van Williams officiating. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery in Hanson, Ky.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m Sunday and from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour Monday at Harris Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Green River Hospice and the Mahr Cancer Center. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
