Jeffrey Scott Knighton, 55, of Madisonville, KY passed away on Friday, June 9, 2023, at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville.

He was born on December 31, 1967, in Jacksonville, FL, to the late Melissa Ann Board Knighton and Allen Eugene Knighton II. He was formerly employed by Walmart for seventeen years as a technician. He loved to play pool, checkers, and video games and enjoyed fishing. His greatest joy was playing and spending time with his grandchildren. Jeffrey was so excited to meet his soon-to-be born great-granddaughter, Bexxli Fuson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Allen Eugene Knighton III; and his granddaughter, Rebbecca Dimarco.

Survivors include his wife of thirty years, Tammy Courtney Knighton; daughters, Chrystal (Dale) Brasher of Madisonville and Miryah Barfield of Florida; brother, Mark (Carri) Knighton of Florida; sister, Samantha (Ray) McKinney of South Carolina; grandchildren, Austin (Tatiana Jones) Fuson, Alexis Fuson, Dalis Brasher, and Katlin Brasher; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home with Pastor Eddie Fleming officiating. Burial to follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville, KY.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Dale Brasher, Austin Fuson, Noah Killough, Pudgy Hoyle, Jerry Courtney, and Charlie Kidd.

Family and friends are invited to a loving kindness meal at Brothers Bar-B-Que, 1055 North Main Street, Madisonville, KY, following the burial.
