Janice Fay Cartwright Taylor, 75, of Hanson, KY passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Baptist Health Madisonville.

She was born on February 21, 1942 in Greenville, KY to the late Geraldine Cartwright and Frank Cartwright. Janice liked fishing but her greatest love was spending time with her family and grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Alton Taylor.

Survivors include her daughter, Janet Dixon and husband, Brook of Princeton, KY; sons, Jeff Taylor and wife, Kathy of Cumberland Furnace, TN and Kenny Taylor and wife, Joy of Madisonville; sisters, Brenda Mayhugh of Nelson Creek, KY and Pam Arnold and husband, Lindel of Nelson Creek; fiance', Tommy Foreman of Hanson; granddaughters, Karley Hodges and husband, Billy of Cumberland Furnace and Taylor Dixon of Princeton; great-granddaughter, Aubree Hodges of Cumberland Furnace; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the nursing staff on 4 West at Baptist Health Madisonville, and a special thank you to Melenda at Hospice of Western Kentucky, Bro. Doug and Betty Anderson and Pastor Karen Wix.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, March 20, 2017 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. Doug Anderson officiating. Burial to follow at Bethlehem Cemetery in Madisonville.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour Monday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Matt Arnold, Marty Arnold, Brad Mayhugh, Keith Taylor Bobby James and Don Faulk. Honorary Pallbearers are Lucas Arnold and Jake Mayhugh.
