Janice Ann Hibbs Brackett, 80, of Madisonville, KY passed away on Thursday, October 8, 2020 at Baptist Health Madisonville.

She was born on July 20, 1940 in Madisonville to the late, Alfreda Brumit Hibbs and Barnum Hibbs, Sr. Janice was formerly a self-employed housekeeper and also worked at Vanover Music in Madisonville. Janice enjoyed gardening, reading and designing floral arrangements. She loved spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Norris Franklin Brackett; daughter, Debra Burnett; granddaughter, Stephanie Williams; brothers, Barnum Hibbs, Jr., Kenneth Hibbs, and infant brothers, Cleatus Hibbs and Roger Hibbs; sisters, Elaine Gamblin, Linda Sojtori and Phyllis Hibbs.

Survivors include her daughter, Danette Williams of Madisonville; son, David (Crystal) Dutton and Drew Brackett both of Richmond, VA; brother, Larry (Belinda) Hibbs of Madisonville; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at Christian Assembly 3600 Hanson Rd. Madisonville, KY 42431 with Bro. Roy Ellis officiating. Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville was entrusted with care.
