Janet Clare Peithman Agin, 67, of Madisonville, KY, passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at Alive Hospice Residence in Nashville, TN.

She was born on March 27, 1959, in Detroit, MI, to the late JoAnna McBride Peithman and Harlan "Doc" W. Peithman, Jr. She was formerly employed in human resources for Electro Cycle. She enjoyed scrapbooking, traveling to Florida, and meeting new friends. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Janet was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Madisonville.

Her survivors include her husband of twenty-eight years, James "Jim" A. Agin, Jr.; sons, Matthew James Agin of MA and Michael (Alexus) Scott Agin of AZ; sister, Lynn Peithman of Nashville, TN; grandchildren, Serenity Clare Agin and Harlan Agin; nephew, Noah Lamont of Nashville; and her loving dog, Princess.

A celebration of life will be held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at First Presbyterian Church, 260 W. McLaughlin Avenue in Madisonville with Bro. Lon Lorton and Pastor Jen Evans officiating. Harris Funeral Home was entrusted with care.
