Jane Tippett Pleasant, 76, of Madisonville, KY passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at Madisonville Health and Rehab.

She was born on December 23, 1943 in Hanson, KY to the late Evelyn James Tippett and Joe Smith Tippett. Jane was formerly a case worker with the State of Kentucky and was a member of Earlington First Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Joey Lee Pleasant; brothers, Ed Tippett, Jimmy Tippett and Jasper Tippett; and her sister, Jennie Bruce.

Survivors include her son, James (Syndee) Pleasant of Mississippi; daughter, Joan Pleasant of Madisonville; sisters, Vaneta Roberts, Joyce Followell, Wilma Stevenson, Cindy Coffman, Rebecca Coffman, Jettie Riffe and Bobbi Mills; brother, Roger Tippett; Eleven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Monday, February 17, 2020 at Hanson Baptist Church 130 Sunset Rd. Hanson, KY 42413 with Bro. Sam Beeny officiating. Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville was entrusted with care.
