Jane Franklin Hibbs, 74, of Madisonville, KY passed away at 10:50 p.m. on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at Lucy Smith King Care Center in Henderson, KY.

She was born on March 31, 1938 in Madisonville, KY to the late William Gilbert Franklin, Sr. and Rela Martin Franklin. She was formerly a secretary with Trover Clinic in Madisonville and was director of the Senior Citizens Center in Madisonville. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Madisonville.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, William Gilbert Franklin, Jr.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Morris Hibbs; her daughter, Cathy (Barry) Hibbs Brown of Nashville, TN; her son, David (Lesa) Hibbs of Owensboro, KY; two brothers, Charles Leo Franklin and Jack Franklin both of Madisonville; her sister, Ida Fox of Beulah, KY; her grandson, Derek Monroe Hibbs of Owensboro; her granddaughter, Tara Delaine Hibbs of Lexington, KY; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 24, 2012 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. Andy Haley officiating and Bro. Will Coursey assisting. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery in Hanson, KY.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Saturday and from 1 p.m. until the funeral hour Sunday at Harris Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be John Franklin, Brad Franklin, Randy Franklin, Sid Gaddis, Barry Brown and Derek M. Hibbs. Honorary pallbearers will be Rod Barnett, Bryce Fox, Mark Franklin and Jeff Franklin.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony's Hospice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
