James Robert Williams, 56, of Madisonville, KY, passed away on February 12, 2023, at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville, KY.

He was born on August 26, 1966, in Providence, KY, to the late Mary Wyatt Williams and Jerry Williams. He had a natural talent for cutting trees and always loved to help others however he could. James was a loving spouse, father, grandfather, and brother and will be missed by all.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Jerry Lee Williams and Junior Williams; granddaughter, Angela Stone; and three other people who held a special place in his heart, Angela, Lisa, and Tonda.

Survivors include his wife, Shawna Williams; daughter, Evelyn Williams; sons, James Stone and Christopher Williams; stepchildren, Matthew Ervin, Kristopher Ervin, and Stephanie Miller; grandchildren, Jamie, Richard, Alex, Ericka, Shyann, Calli, Mila, and Matthew Lee, Jr.; brother, Jason Williams; sisters, Mary Combs and Regina Stone; in-law, Wesley Creamer, Jr.; numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, February 23, 2023, at Earlington General Baptist Church, 202 South Sebree Street, Earlington, KY 42410. Harris Funeral Home was entrusted with care.

Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the service hour on Thursday at the church.
