James E. "Buck"Quillen, Sr., 70, of Madisonville, KY passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at Kindred Hospital in Louisville, KY.

He was born on March 24, 1949 in Gary, IN to the late, Lee Omia Quillen and Lon James Quillen. Buck was a self employed construction worker and was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Brenda Lee Andrews; brother, Terry Gene Quillen; and his great-granddaughter, Cobie Stallins.

Survivors include his wife of forty-seven years, Brenda Quillen; daughters, Leeanna Quillen of Madisonville and Stacey (Brian) Stallins of Dawson Springs, KY; son, James (Melody) Quillen, Jr. of Madisonville; brothers, Kenneth (Judy) Quillen of St. Charles, KY and Dennis (Stacy) Quillen of Madisonville; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at Olive Branch Cemetery in Hanson, KY with Bro. Chuck Evans officiating. Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville is in charge of the arrangements.
