James "Jim" Morgan Eaves, 64, of Dawson Springs, KY, passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville.

He was born on December 29, 1961, in Madisonville, KY, to the late Montrella Sue Carroll Moore and Ernest Thurman Moore. He was a plant manager with Warrior Coal Company. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, cooking, and riding his four-wheeler. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren and his family. Jim was of the Christian faith.

His survivors include his wife of twenty-six years, Evonne Davis Eaves of Dawson Springs; children, Brandi Lynn McBride of Dawson Springs, Kevin Darnell of Bardstown, KY, Chasta Mendiola of San Antonio, TX, and Julie Dalesandro of San Antonio; sister, Sarah (Keith) McKinney of Dawson Springs; grandchildren, Jaiden Darnell, Layla Crenshaw, Alyssa Argo, Cannon Copple, Taryn Matison, Luke Axel, and Waylon Darnell; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2026, in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home with Bro. Ronnie Roberts officiating. A private burial will be held at McKnight Cemetery in Dawson Springs.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour on Saturday at the funeral home.
