James "Jimmy" Caraway, 61, of Madisonville, KY passed away at 12:36 a.m. on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at Baptist Health Madisonville.


He was born on April 18, 1952 in Chicago, IL to the late Christine "Lillian" Gipson and Archie "Kenneth" Caraway. He retired from Goodyear and attended Greater Life Apostolic Church in Madisonville.


In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Archie Caraway.


He is survived by his sons, Shane E. (Tracy) Caraway of Nortonville, KY and Chad M. (Melissa) Caraway of Madisonville; his granddaughters, Makinzie Caraway and Madison Caraway; four brothers; two sisters; and several nieces, nephews, family and friends.


Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Pastor T.R. Frederick officiating. Burial to follow in Grapevine Cemetery in Madisonville.


Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour Tuesday at Harris Funeral Home.


Pallbearers will be Kenny Caraway, Billy Caraway, Larry Brown, Marty Taylor, Bo Hester and Mark Minton. Honorary pallbearer will be Carl "Bub" Moore.
