James "J.B." Bradford McDonald, 93, of Madisonville, KY passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at Baptist Health Madisonville.

He was born on April 7, 1923 in Madisonville to the late Myrtle and Clarence McDonald. J.B. was formerly a stock manager at Jordan's Furniture and was a member of First Baptist Church in Madisonville where he was a member of the Fox Sunday School Class. He was a Kentucky Colonel, Master Mason of Lodge 143, Scottish Rite and was a Shriner.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Katherine Fugate.

Survivors include his wife of sixty-five years, Evanell McDonald; his son, Mike McDonald and wife, Debbie of Madisonville; daughters, Tricia McDonald of Hanson, KY and Sheila App of Evansville, IN; sister, Betty Robinson of Madisonville; grandsons, Brad Parish and Matthew App; granddaughters, Lauren App, Rachael App, Chandra McDonald and Anne-Michael McDonald; three great-grandchildren; and two nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 10, 2016 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Dr. Kevin Maples and Dr. Joe Leonard officiating. Burial to follow at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Bremen, KY.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. with a Masonic service held at 6:30 p.m. by Lodge 143 Wednesday and from 9 a.m. until the funeral hour Thursday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Brad Parish, Matthew App, Steve Short, Charles Short, Tommy Ford, Anthony Taylor and Chandra McDonald. Honorary pallbearers are Zander App and the Fox Sunday School Class.
